John Cena plays Det. Danny Fisher who starts as a beat cop with his partner Det. Hank Carver (Brian J. White). While the FBI are in New Orleans tracking down a notorious arms dealer, Miles Jackson (Aiden Gillen), their plan to apprehend Mr. Jackson are botched and the local Police are asked to help intervene in finding the dealer whom is on the run. As chance has it, Danny Fisher and his partner come across the getaway vehicle and pull it over. Soon the fireworks fly as they see their suspect and a new chase begins with the culmination of Miles’ girlfriend being killed by accident and Mile is put away. One year later, Miles escapes from prison and returns to New Orleans to seek revenge on the man who took his woman from him and make him pay. Miles seeks out and finds Danny’s girlfriend Molly (Ashley Scott) and kidnaps her. Then comes the twisted game to see whether Molly will die or not and it is all up to Danny to complete 12 rounds of this game to save her.

This 2 disc extreme cut is chocked full of extras. There are two versions of the movie, the theatrical version and the unrated version. The unrated version contains more violence and bad language, but I hardly noticed. There is commentary to go along with the movie, but is only available on the unrated version. Also in this section is a featurette on the streetcar scene, gag reel (not very funny), 2 alternate endings and much more.

As with most action movies released on HD, this one does not disappoint with the explosions, and fast paced action scenes and the audio is excellent as well. Vast sweeps of New Orleans from afar and the shots of the city streets can really set a clear tone to how the city is recovering after Katrina.
Now I would consider myself a wrestling fan and have enjoyed other releases from the folks at WWE. I found that halfway through this movie the story became a little boring. John Cena plays his role well and they make it a point not to show all his muscles to make him seem like a normal everyday Joe. The thing that bugs me about the story is that he completes tasks that a normal person would have no way to accomplish, and then on top of that he is smarter than everyone else around him in being able to figure out the underlying reasons for the revenge. I can’t say this was a great movie, but a lot of people would disagree with me. It does have good action scenes but lacks in story and believability.
