Above the Law

Tim Green has crafted a book that is very convincing about police, law and "the bad guys" that you actually believe he's "been there done that" himself. The story begins on a big time ranch outside of Dallas, where an illegal Mexican immigrant is shot to death. The accused shooter is a big time senator who claims it was a "hunting accident." Some claim otherwise and soon things begin to look like a gigantic cover-up. Casey Jordan, our lawyer-heroine is pulled into conflicts with some major "bad guys", Mexican drug lords, human traffickers, and death threats as she attempts to sort through this whole mess.
ABOVE THE LAW was a real fast, don't want to put it down story that is told well by an author who writes with authority. Tim Green's novel has surprisingly minimal profanity and the sexual situations were handled in in non-offensive, minimal manners and I really appreciate that. This was my first experience with Tim Green and I am now going to go find a few of Mr. Greens' previous novels to curl up with.
