Songs From the Heart is a bit softer and more reflective than other Celtic Woman releases. While some fans may be surprised by this, the gorgeous voices will be more than enough to sweep away any pending potential disappointment. The album opens with a duo of songs that provide ample evidence of how powerful a musical force this phenomenon actually is. The beloved classics “Fields of Gold” and “Amazing Grace” are simply outstanding and stand head and shoulders above anything else they have offered. “When You believe” is another wonderful moment, brought to life in part by choir-esque background vocals that make the song tremendously dynamic. “The Lost Rose Fantasia” is another highlight. It is a stunning instrumental that rises above its compatriots with its subtle grace.”
Overall, this is Celtic Woman’s most beautiful recording to date. The album is beautiful, modest, and tremendously intimate in sound and presentation. This is a must own for any fan of the series or any fan of the musics of the world. There is little doubt that the stage show that will accompany the new music will elevate it to even further heights. Bravo!
