Having this movie re-mastered on Blu-ray was truly an eye-catching experience. From the stunning views of NYC and Brooklyn, to the lights and ambiance of the disco club, the movie captures the audience in the feel of being a part of the action. Audio was amazing and will rock the best of sound systems. You might even find yourself wanting to join the crowd and dance like there is no tomorrow.
Ok, I admit it, I was dancing to groove of the music, how could I resist. This is one of the timeless movies that can be watched over and over without losing any credibility. Yes we all can make fun of the 70’s, but still the story as a whole stands strong and has a powerful message of no letting anything hold you back from the dreams you have. Aside from all the seriousness of it, there are many parts of the film that speak to a host of stereotyping, sex, drugs and dancing. In the words of Tony Manero, “Can you dig it…. I knew that you could.”
