Scrubs the 8th Season

ABC Studios

This long running series first hit the circuit back in 2001 and has been syndicated on multiple networks since its conception. Over the years this series has been nominated for over 80 awards and has won 18 times for various categories.  Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Sarah Chalke return for this hilarious look at the quirky lives of hospital staff.

Different from most sitcoms, Scrubs takes a unique view by using the conscious of Dr. John Dorian (Zach Braff) and jumping into dream sequences and various other outrageous renditions of his reality. Beyond his own world, he and his best friend Turk (Donald Faison) work along with Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) and JD’s boss Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley). In this season the regular cast is joined by guest star Courtney Cox for a short run as the new Chief of Medicine, Dr. Maddox and is later replaced by Dr. Cox. There is a wide range of topics that cross the table for this season that can both be comical and dramatic. By season’s end, JD has to come to grips with being a father and makes the big decision to leave Sacred Heart to be with his son.
The bonus features are very comical on this DVD. Full of bloopers and improvising lines, there are no shortage of laughs. There are also the entire 10 webisodes that follow the interns of this year.

This show has opened the world that I thought only lived inside me and my crazy thoughts. Although I don’t daydream as much as JD, similar thought perplex me at time which make this show a hit in my book. I would venture to say that many others feel the same way being that this is Scrubs 8th season and are in the works for the 9th. I would say thatif you have ever seen this show to definitely check this season out then grab the rest to see what you have missed.
