This is a sad and tragic story about the transformation of a lonely young woman, Arlyn, into an equally sad and lonely woman. It was interesting to follow her two children’s lives and watch them try to break away from what seems like a sad and lonely existence for them as well. However once Arlyn does find happiness, she cuts herself off from that person who brings her happiness. Unfortunately thereafter things end tragically for this woman. It was unfortunate that her husband learned much too late in life that he could have had a good life with Arlyn, if only he had given her a fair chance.
