Transformers

Paramount

I have seen Transformers three times now and out of the three times I have fallen asleep twice.  Why?  I thought originally because the movie was boring, but I realize now it was because I was tired both times I watched it.  Just the other day I finally watched the movie from start to finish and all I can say is, “This movie is awesome!”  So why am I reviewing it now nearly two years after its release?  Well for starters I received a copy in the mail for review and secondly since the second movie is out in theaters now it might be a good time to re-watch the movie.

Sam Witwicky is a troubled teenager.  Not troubled like always in trouble but troubled in he so desperately wants to buy a car and score a girl to go with his new ride.  The problem?  He doesn’t have a cool car and the girls won’t give him the time of day.  The thing Sam doesn’t realize is that he has a totally cool car, in fact he has a Transforming car which is a “robot in disguise”.  Upon finding out about his car Sam soon finds out that a group of renegade robots called the Decepticons are seeking him out so they can find the Allspark which will grant eternal power to whoever possesses it.  Fortunately the Autobots are sent to the earth to help protect Sam and ultimately destroy the Allspark so the human race can be spared for utter destruction if the Decepticons find it and use it for their own power.  The good news… Sam winds up having a really cool car and he gets the hot babe at the conclusion and saves earth in the process.
